The world has gone crazy I'm filling finch feeders almost every day now and they're hitting some finch socks we've re-hung. Our hummers fledged their chicks and took off some time ago but now we're beginning to get some new migrants down from the north. |
Just this week, I'm ready to come out to feed our birds, one morning, a friend of bright orange caught my eye.
He was a Baltimore oriole, not a common observation around our house, but we like bright plumage that is almost hurt the eyes to watch.
This bird was just finishing a drink in one bird baths off the terrace and then flew overhead in a cedar for a rest.
